Melissa Jones
General Manager

As Company Matters' General Manager, Melissa leads the legal practice and is responsible for overseeing the Company Matters' team. Melissa is an experienced practitioner who has provided high value strategic advice throughout her career, working to enhance corporate governance, manage legal risk and protect business reputation. Melissa's extensive experience includes acting as Senior Legal Counsel for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Group, Senior Associate in Mergers & Acquisitions/Corporate Advisory at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) and in the public company team at Qantas Airways Limited .

Emma Lawler
Senior Governance Consultant/Senior Company Secretary

Emma has two decades of experience as a company secretary and governance professional. Prior to joining Company Matters in 2008, Emma managed the regulatory affairs, risk and compliance team at BT Financial Group and prior to that was Company Secretary at Westpac Banking Corporation where she was responsible for the management of all corporate governance and company secretarial matters within the Westpac Group. Emma also has public sector experience and was Company Secretary for the former NSW State Rail Authority. Emma is a Fellow of The Governance Institute of Australia and a guest lecturer.

Anna Sandham
Senior Governance Consultant/Senior Company Secretary

Anna has two decades of experience as a company secretary and governance professional. Prior to joining Company Matters in 2012, Anna was a Company Secretary at AMP Financial Services and prior to that was Company Secretary at Westpac Banking Corporation where she also led the secretariat function with the BT Financial Group. Prior to that, Anna held company secretarial roles within the private and public sectors, including NRMA Limited. Anna is a Fellow of The Governance Institute of Australia and a member of its Legislative Review Committee.

Phil Mackey
Senior Company Secretary

Phil has over three decades' company secretarial and commercial experience, including multi-jurisdictional board practice as both a company secretary and a director. Phil has a strong appreciation of corporate and personal accountability, responsibility and integrity. As a member of the Company Matters' team, clients benefit from both his project management knowledge and passion for good corporate governance. Previously, Phil served as Company Secretary of ASX & SGX dual listed Australand Group Limited and Deputy Company Secretary of AMP Limited. Phil's commercial experience includes appointment as Chief Operating Officer (Specialised Funds) of Babcock & Brown and at Bressan Group. Phil is a Fellow of Governance Institute Australia and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Langan
Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Mark has over three decades' accounting and commercial experience in various listed and private companies as well as in private practice. He joined Company Matters in 2014. Previously, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer of Clarius Group Limited for over a decade and before that was Company Secretary of ASX listed Dapoli Corporation Limited (now eTrade Australia Limited ). Mark is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.

Graeme Blackett
Senior Company Secretary

Graeme has over 25 years company secretarial and governance experience in various listed and private companies, as well as in private practice.

Graeme most recently worked as Company Secretary of NAB Wealth/MLC and has also previously worked at AMP, Westfield Group, Reckon Limited and NRMA Group (now known as Insurance Australia Group). Graeme also has worked at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission as Commission Secretary.

Graeme is admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW, holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and is a current member of the Legislation Review Committee for the Governance Institute of Australia.

Kim Bradley-Ware
Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary

Kim has over 20 years' finance and governance experience in various listed and private companies, as well as in private practice.

Prior to joining Company Matters, Kim worked with Pan Pacific Petroleum (an ASX and NZX listed entity) since 2001, most recently as CFO and Company Secretary. Prior to that Kim held various roles in accounting across a variety of different industries including credit reporting, telecommunications and media.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Commerce, is a full member of the Australian Society of CPAs and is a student member of the Tax Institute.

Naomi Dolmatoff
Company Secretary

Naomi is an experienced company secretary and prior to joining the Company Matters team, Naomi worked with ASX listed entities in the financial services and mining and resources industries. Naomi was previously employed in the legal and secretariat team of ClearView Wealth Limited. Prior to this, Naomi spent five years with Aspire Mining Limited were she held several roles including company secretarial and investor relations. Naomi is an Associate of both The Governance Institute of Australia and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK).

Swapna Keskar
Company Secretary

Swapna has been a member of the Company Matters' team since 2007. Previously, Swapna was a Company Secretary at ASX listed Ainsworth Game Technology Limited and prior to that, Swapna was part of a specialist company secretarial services team in India. She is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia, The Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators (UK) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

Zoe Levendel
Company Secretary and Solicitor

Zoe joined the Company Matters team from Suncorp Group Limited, where Zoe spent four years in the Legal and Secretariat team. Prior to Suncorp, Zoe was a Policy Advisor at AMA Queensland.

Gillian Nairn
Solicitor and Company Secretary

Gillian has over 20 years legal and governance experience in various listed and public companies, as well as in private practice.

Prior to joining Company Matters, Gillian worked as the Company Secretary and In-House Counsel of Range International Limited (ASX:RAN). Prior to that, Gillian held various company secretarial roles, predominantly with listed entities, in a variety of sectors including oil and gas, professional services and education.

Gillian holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. She is an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia and a member of the Law Society of NSW.

Sarah Prince
Company Secretary and Solicitor

Since joining Company Matters in 2006, Sarah has assisted many clients either as their company secretary or as an independent adviser to boards and management. Prior to joining Company Matters, Sarah supported the Board Advisory Services arm of KPMG . Sarah is a member of The Governance Institute of Australia.

John Rodriguez
Senior Company Secretary

John is a Chartered Secretary with almost thirty years' experience in governance and leadership roles. His experiences have been in funds management, property and infrastructure. John has been the secretary for many prominent joint ventures which included Mirvac, the Singapore Government, Australian Super, Leighton, Transurban, Balmain NB, Elbit, QIC, Canadian Pension Fund. John was also the statutory secretary for Mirvac Funds Management and EDT Retail Management.

Louise Sheppard
Senior Company Secretary

Louise is an experienced company secretary with a deep financial services background, whose professional experience spans three decades. Louise's commercial career began at AMP where she worked both in Australia and the UK across several financial services finance and project roles. Thereafter she worked for ABN AMRO in what would be recognised as an AML/CTF equivalent compliance officer role today. Following this, Louise performed a project manager role at CBA, within CBA's Wealth Management - Finance and Strategy Division. Louise has also held compliance and company secretarial roles at Babcock & Brown Limited, including being appointed as Company Secretary to their subsidiary companies. Most recently, Louise was the Secretarial Governance Manager at Origin Energy Limited.

Bernadette Ellis
Office Manager

Prior to joining Company Matters in 2014, Bernadette acted as Company Secretary for portfolio entities of Ironbridge Capital Pty Limited. Bernadette supports the corporate administration arm of the Company Matters practice. Bernadette is a member of The Governance Institute of Australia.
